About Pugly
I was born on September 1, 2002 in
Willow Park, TX. I was very lucky to be born to a home
with two girls who played with me all the time. To
this day I love kids! I had several brothers and
sisters and I really miss them now, but my new Mom and Dad
keeps me so busy doin' stuff that I sometimes I don't have
time to think.
My new mom and dad looked and looked
for the "perfect puppy" for over a year. Then one day
my mom found a ad for me in the Dallas Newspaper. She
emailed my then Mom and asked her to send them pictures.
When my new mom saw my picture she said that I "talked to
her" and that she just had to have me!
My new Dad did not want a new puppy as
bad as my new Mom and was not happy that I cost so much.
He also thought that my kind of breed of dog was "ugly."
Imagine that! He finally gave into to my mom but with
the understanding that he could name me. So that is
how I got my name PUGLY - p for pretty and ugly for ugly.
My mom says I'll always be pretty!
Anyhow, since I was over 300 miles away
my mom had her brother (Shawn) pick me up from my house and
bring me all the way to my new home. It was a five
hour drive and I was very scared but Shawn held me and
petted me the whole way so it wasn't that bad. I
really love him!
Boy do I love my new home! Mom
and Dad play with me ALL the time. My Mom taught me a
bunch of tricks. I go to classes every week.
What is really funny though is now that I'm here Dad thinks
I'm HIS dog. My mom calls him a "Dog Hog." He
loves me so much he has built me my own agility ring for me to
play on in the back yard.

it his "hobby." My mom calls it his weekend
girlfriend.
My favorite thing to do is Agility Classes. I hope
someday to run with the big dogs!
I am the only Brussels Griffon that I have met that does
agility, in fact other than my family I haven't gotten to
meet another griff! Maybe someday when we start going
to dog shows!
